We believe safety and trust are the foundation of a child's development. Our educators understand how their everyday care builds that trust into curiosity, learning, and growth. Here are a few of the research-backed practices that guide our classrooms:
One of the most rigorously studied early childhood approaches in the country. In practice, it means intentional, play based learning where children make real choices about what they explore.
How we walk children through hard moments. Instead of punishing behavior, we help them recognize what they're feeling and find their way forward.
Our infant teachers follow your baby's cues, not a schedule. Exploration is at the core of all our activities including music, movement, and focus times.
Babies can sign "more" or "all done" before they can speak leading to more communication, less frustrated, and stronger bonds.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children sets the highest tandard of early childhood education in the country, and fewer than 10% of centers meet it. We're proud to be one of them encouraging growth in our community.

Located on the U.S. Department of Commerce Boulder Labs, our center is part of a community built around learning. It's a unique setting where parents see each other at work, children grow up together, and a shared love of curiosity quietly rubs off on everyone.
Our community reaches beyond the labs too. Boulder itself continues to enrich our program in ways we're grateful for. If you work for a Department of Commerce agency, you qualify for our subsidized DoC tuition rate.
Because of our unique setting, families also have a real voice in how the center is run. Each fall, parents can be elected to the Commerce Children's Center Association Board, which works alongside the DOC Boulder Labs and Child First to support our operations.
Hours:
7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday.
Procare app:
Contactless drop off and pick up,billing, photos, and real time updates from your child's teachers.

Every teacher is CPR certified and completes annual training in safe sleep, child development, and our curriculums. We have an on-site chef that serves a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily!
We love it when families want to be part of the center beyond drop off and pickup. Two of the easiest ways:
Parent Activity Committee:
A team of parents from every classroom who help bring our community together across families,t eachers, and classrooms. CCC sets aside funds each year to support their work.
CCCA Board:
Parents can be elected each fall tohelp guide CCC's mission, finances, and impact alongside the DOC Boulder Labs.
